What BypassWriter is
In shortAn editing tool that rewrites phrasing. It is not a detector and promises no result against one.
BypassWriter is an editing tool. You paste writing you already have, choose a tone and a model, and it rewrites the phrasing so the result reads more like a person wrote it.
It is not a detector, and it does not promise any outcome against one. Detectors change constantly and none of them publish how they score, so any guarantee about them would be a guess sold as a fact.
The state of the service today
In shortAccounts, plans, payments and rewrites are live. Text you paste is a real rewrite and counts against your plan; samples are labelled examples.
Accounts, plans, payments and the rewrite engine are all live. Text you paste is sent to our server, rewritten by the rewriting provider we use, and returned to you.
The samples behind "Try a sample" are still pre-written examples, and they are labelled as such where they appear. Everything you paste yourself is a real rewrite and is counted against your plan as one.
Your account
In shortYou need an account beyond the samples. One account is one person, and sharing credentials is the one use we will close an account over.
You need an account to use BypassWriter beyond the samples. Accounts are handled by Clerk, our authentication provider, and you are responsible for keeping access to yours.
One account is one person. Sharing credentials so several people can draw on one plan’s daily allowance is the one use we will close an account over.
Plans, billing and renewals
In shortPaid plans renew automatically, billed in US dollars through Dodo Payments. Card details never reach BypassWriter.
Free requires no payment and no card. Paid plans are billed through Dodo Payments, who run checkout and hold the subscription. Prices are in US dollars and are shown in full on the pricing page before you pay.
Card details are entered on Dodo Payments’ checkout and never reach BypassWriter. We do not receive your card number or store it.
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each period — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — until you cancel. A yearly plan is twelve months billed at the price of ten; that is the entire offer and there is no introductory rate that later expires.
What your plan allows is listed on the pricing page: how many requests a day, how long one input can be, and which models you can pick. Those limits are enforced by the service itself, not just described.
Cancelling
In shortCancel any time from the billing portal. You keep the plan until the period ends, then the account returns to Free.
You can cancel at any time from the secure billing portal in your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal rather than ending the plan immediately: you keep what you paid for until the current period ends, and the account then returns to Free.
Nothing of yours is deleted when that happens, because there is no drafts archive here to delete — see the privacy page for what that does and does not cover.
Refunds
In shortIf the service does not do what this page says, email support and we will refund you through Dodo Payments.
If the service does not do what this page says it does, write to support@bypasswriter.com and we will refund you. We would rather return the money than argue about a product that did not work.
Refunds are issued through Dodo Payments, since that is where the payment was taken.
Using it honestly
In shortWhether you may use it for a piece of work is between you and whoever set that work. It changes how writing reads, not who wrote it.
Whether you may use BypassWriter for a particular piece of work is between you and whoever set that work. Institutions differ and it is worth checking before you rely on it.
BypassWriter changes how writing reads. It does not change who wrote it. If the underlying work is not yours, editing it does not make it yours.
Availability
In shortNo promise of uninterrupted service. If a change removes something your plan was sold on, you will be told.
We aim to keep BypassWriter running, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption. The service depends on providers we do not control, and any of them can have an outage that we can only wait out alongside you.
We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the service. If a change removes something your plan was sold on, that is a change to what you are paying for and you will be told rather than left to discover it.
What we do not promise
In shortProvided as it is, with no guarantee of any result, including what an AI detector says.
BypassWriter is provided as it is. Beyond what these terms say plainly, we do not attach further guarantees to it — not about uninterrupted availability, not about freedom from errors, and not about any particular result from a rewrite.
This sits alongside the point made at the top of this page: we make no promise about what any AI detector will say about a rewrite, because no honest one can be made.
Limits on liability
In shortLiability is capped at what you paid in the previous twelve months, and excludes indirect losses.
If something goes wrong and we are found liable, what we owe is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before it happened. On Free that figure is nothing, which is the honest consequence of a plan that costs nothing.
We are not liable for indirect losses — work you lost time on, marks you were given, or opportunities that did not come off. Nothing here removes rights the law where you live does not let us remove.
Changes to these terms
In shortIf the terms change, the date changes with them. Anything affecting what you pay for will be told to you.
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and anything that affects what you are already paying for will be told to you rather than quietly edited in.
Who to contact
In shortPayment questions go through the billing portal. Everything else, including account deletion, goes to support.
For anything about a payment, renewal or refund, the fastest route is the secure billing portal in your account, because that is where the subscription actually lives.
For everything else — including refunds you would rather raise with a person, and requests to delete your account — write to support@bypasswriter.com.
